Do Not Worry by Cameron
"He said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing."
- Luke 12:22-24
In this blog post, I wanted to share with you this bible verse from the gospel of Luke from my perspective. I came across it during our daily scripture time when I randomly opened my bible. I thought about how we should all be living this way, not worrying about what we will eat or what we will wear. Some things that I can see in examples of ways this can occur in daily life are: If, say, you cannot decide what to wear, you could think about the poor, and maybe something to do for them instead of worrying about that. You could also think about narrowing down your clothes and only keeping what you need. And, instead of buying more clothes, you could spend the money on the poor. If you have trouble deciding what you want to eat, think of this verse. Think of ways to feed others, like fasting from that meal and using the money you would've spent on the poor. One thing my family will sometimes do is skip or share treats or meals when we eat out and we put the money towards helping the poor and needy. Really, we should all think of ways to serve others instead of ourselves, especially the people who don't have clothes and those who don't have food to eat (the poor). I think that we should all try to put the gospel message into action, however we can throughout today and always.
God bless,
Cameron
