Movie Review: "The Reluctant Saint" by Carson
Hi! Today I'm going to share with you one of my favorite movies. The movie is about the life of St. Joseph of Cupertino, whose feast day was September 18. We celebrated his feast day by watching this movie for the millionth time. Man, I can't seem to get enough of this movie! It is funny, interesting, and teaches us how we can be holy when we seem totally incapable. St. Joseph of Cupertino starts out as a man who didn't get very good grades, messed up his newest jobs, and was seen as a failure by his mother. His mother convinces her brother (father guardian of a monastery) to let him be a lay brother at his monastery. Things go more wrong from there, and none of the brothers realized what the seemingly uneducated Joseph had in stock for them! From becoming a priest to being holy enough to levitate, this movie has it all about this saint who is definitely one of my favorite role models. St. Joseph of Cupertino teaches us the real necessities of life through his own special way. I recommend this movie to everyone who will watch it, as it teaches us how to get closer to Christ in a simple way, is funny, and is just a great movie. Normally, we don't watch many movies, and I don't care about movies very much, but this is a movie I definitely support watching. There is a ton I didn't tell you in this review that you need to experience for yourself, so get ready for this awesome movie!
