Works of Mercy for Our Great-Grandparents by Cameron

In this blog post, I am going to talk about the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy that we performed on our trip to North Carolina to see our Great-Grandparents.

I am going to start with the Spiritual Works of Mercy:

#1. Comfort the afflicted.

We visited them mostly because they were really struggling health-wise. So we came to comfort them through their hard times.

#2. Pray for the living and the dead.

We prayed with them for their suffering and quality of life.

Now the Corporal Works of Mercy:

#3. Feed the hungry.

We prepared and cleaned up meals for them.

#4. Give drink to the thirsty.

We would bring their water to them so they wouldn't have to go get it, because it is hard for them to get around.

These are the ones just from that trip. We try to work on them everywhere we go. It is very important to me that we were able to visit them, because it has been a really long time since we have seen them, so it seemed like it was the Holy Spirit when my Grandma told my Mom that they weren't doing very well.

And I am pretty sure that it was the Holy Spirit, because we were in Maryland and had been discerning if we should go, as it was very much out of the way. When my Mom was in the church parking lot getting into the car, a man came over to the car. He asked if whatever map that he just found on the ground was Mom's. It wasn't, but as he was walking away, Mom saw that it was a map of North Carolina, which is where my Great-Grandparents live!
