Back at Daily Mass by Cameron

Hello. This is going to be the first of a three part series I'm writing on Daily Mass, since it is such a big part of my life. Today I wanted to share some of my recent Daily Mass experiences at our church.

Some things have came back since we have gotten back from Belize. The things that have returned are definitely important to me.

Some examples are the Precious Blood coming back (after covid), a lot more people have been coming, and, recently, my older brother and/or I have been serving Mass for the priests, which hasn't happened for Daily Mass since before covid.

I enjoy going to Daily Mass because I am able to receive Communion, which is Jesus in the Eucharist, which is why I am very glad that the Precious Blood is back. There are also readings from the Bible, then a homily, intercessory prayers, and singing (sometimes).

So now that I'm serving, I end up getting up a bit earlier in the mornings (I'm usually an earlier riser, so it makes it slightly easier for me to get up). I walk over to church, get my alb on, and then soon the Mass will start.

I really enjoy serving because it makes it easier to focus during Mass, as there are things that you must do (like processing in and out and setting the altar). It also helps me to start my day with God, and to establish a nice morning routine.

After Mass, we sometimes stay and visit with friends, or do our Holy Hour as a family. Today we were blessed to have a friend come to Mass and then fellowship with us afterwards at our house.

Thanks for reading this blog post, and God bless,

Cameron
